Ninja Foodi Burgers

Funny story for you. The day that I was making Ninja Foodi Burgers I was also making Beyond Burgers in the air fryer.

I do that a lot where I am running more than one kitchen gadget at once. We are a family of five and one Ninja Foodi is not always enough.

I was doing Ninja Foodi burgers and fries in one machine and then in my Philips Air Fryer XL, I had beyond beef burgers.

If you have not heard of beyond beef burgers, then like the name suggests they are BEYOND beef and is a catchy name for vegan burgers.

The hubby who loves his meat and rolls his eyes when I suggest a vegan dinner, was not best pleased.

Though I had an idea.

He had lost his sense of taste due to the flu and I presented him with a plate with both the beyond beef burgers and some standard hamburgers.

Would he be able to tell the difference?

Well, you guessed right my meat loving hubby chose beyond as the meat product and we all had a good laugh about it. But what I thought was most interesting was you couldn’t tell which burger had been made in a regular air fryer to the Ninja Foodi.

A big THANK YOU to Ninja for a great air fryer!

How Do I Cook Burgers In My Ninja Foodi?

You cook burgers in the Ninja Foodi either by using the air fryer basket or by loading them on the Ninja trivet and pressure cooking.

Because the Ninja Foodi is an air fryer and a pressure cooker you have the choice of pressure cooking burgers or air frying burgers.

I like to do both and have an addiction to instant pot frozen hamburgers. But I also love all the different burgers we cook in our traditional air fryer such as:

  • Air Fryer Stuffed Burgers
  • Air Fryer Cheeseburgers
  • Air Fryer Lamb Burgers
  • Air Fryer Wendy’s Chicken Burgers

You can choose either, though I will be showing you today my Ninja air fryer burgers method.

Ninja Foodi Frozen Burgers

Frozen burgers in the Ninja Foodi can also be done. If you want to make Ninja Foodi frozen burgers, then I recommend you follow our air fryer frozen burgers recipe instead.

Then at the end of the cook time check on them and if they need a little longer, add an extra 3-4 minutes.

Ninja Foodi Burgers & Fries

I don’t know about you, but I love Ninja Foodi burgers and fries. If this is you, too, then note that Ninja burger and fries can be cooked together.

The only important thing to remember, is that fries take longer in a Ninja Foodi than burgers do.

I rectify this by starting to cook the fries first like you see here:

Then when the Ninja beeps, I will add in the burgers and finish cooking the burger and fries together. This will result in them being cooked and ready to serve together. Instead of having to wait for your burgers and your fries getting cold.

How Long To Cook Burgers In Ninja Foodi?

The cook time for Ninja Foodi burgers is JUST 13 minutes. Though this includes cooking the Ninja burgers on both sides as you need to flip them.

But what it doesn’t include is the 15 minutes that the fries are air frying for first, before you add in the burgers.

This is essential that you do it like this if cooking burgers and fries together. But if you don’t want fries, then just go straight to the step when the burgers are added in.

Notes

Optional. You don’t have to add fries, but I love the magical combo of burger and fries together in the air fryer. Yummy.

Checks. I have found that the Ninja air fryer can be a little slow with fries. I recommend before adding the burgers that you check on a fork that the fries are almost cooked. If they are not, add a couple more minutes before adding the burgers in.
