Project LH received some additional features. In this example... Security Shutters. Why would these be useful?-for families that travel for extended periods throughout the year-additional security (increasingly popular with the current climate)-protection from objects (helpful if you live adjacent to parks, fields and golf courses)These aren't for everyone. When building a custom home, you have the opportunity to add features that make sense for you and your family.Book a Free Discovery Session (follow link in comments) where we’ll answer your questions, share our passion, and help you clarify and refine the vision you have for your new home. We’ll also show you how we can help to bring your vision to life in the exact high-performance home you want – on time and on budget.#torontocustomhomes #torontocustomhomebuilder #gtacustomhomebuilder #customhomebuildertoronto #torontocustomhomedesignbuild #highperformancehomes #customhomebuilder#customhomes #designbuild #energystar #netzerohome #energuide #highperformancehomes #tarionwarranty #torontorealestate #tore #gtarealestate #gtare#dreamhome

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀)? The biggest mistake is trusting your dream home to a builder that doesn’t have the processes to deliver. And as a result, homeowners suffer:--Delays (often many months)--Selection compromises (because first-choice orders were not placed in time)--Poor workmanship (because A-grade trades were not scheduled early enough, or they don’t have the skills - or desire - to control quality)--Communication frustrations (because the builder is under pressure – sometimes financial, often running late -- and doesn’t want to talk with you!)But this doesn’t have to be your experience. The key is choosing a team of professional builders who have proven processes and the discipline (and integrity) to follow them – every time.Book a Free Discovery Session (follow link in comments) where we’ll answer your questions, share our passion, and help you clarify and refine the vision you have for your new home. We’ll also show you how we can help to bring your vision to life in the exact high-performance home you want – on time and on budget.Avvio Fine Homes Paul or Vincent Gambino

Technology is cool!If you're in the market for a new vehicle, why not get one that can act as a back up power supply for your house?-its cheaper than a Tesla Powerwall or similar product-its cheaper than a natural gas generator-it benefits from time of use pricing (charge with cheap power and use its battery when power is expensive) There's pros and cons to everything.I can't wait to get one installed in my next house!

𝗜𝘀 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗣𝗜𝗚?The houses we build ARE NOT.𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗴𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆.𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’t 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’t 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.BIGGER ISN’T ALWAYS BETTER (when talking mechanical systems)The days of gloating about your huge 2-stage gas furnace are gone. They are workhorses but also create an uncomfortable indoor living environment. If you like to leave the windows open on a cold day or have wall to wall sliding patio doors and like to keep them open while entertaining and then expect the temperature in the house to be at a comfortable level very quickly then heat pumps aren’t for you. You’ll need a workhorse.Heat pumps provide consistent, even temperatures (not huge fluctuations or jolts of very hot air coming from supply registers). Some of the ways we DESIGN and BUILD our houses to be comfortable and efficient:-installing exterior insulation (basically putting a winter coat around your house)-seal the envelope as air tight as possible-use energy efficient windows (usually triple pane with low solar heat gain) -and an ERV to recover the energy and ventilate the house in a controlled mannerA recent house we completed had an Energuide rating of 63 GJ/year.This house is approximately 3200 SF, 2 storeys and located in North York.We will provide an update after one year with the actuals and compare to the projected rating.Be aware, living habits affect the consumption too.How much energy did your house consume in 2023? Lets hear about it in the comments.Give a brief description of the house size, storeys, year it was built and general geographic locationFormulas:Electricity --- ______ KWH multiply by 0.0036 = ______GJ (GigaJoules)Natural Gas --- ______ Cubic Meters multiply by 0.0373 = ______GJ (GigaJoules)
