The topping is this really easy as well. You just need a few garlic cloves. I am always inclined to use more garlic; I like the roast/burnt/crisp garlic. But you can stop at 6 medium garlic cloves. With the garlic as the star ingredient, the next important ingredient is obviously le beurre aka the butter.

You can use salted butter for this. I never buy salted butter so I just add some extra salt to the mixture. You can just stop with butter and garlic but I like to add some Olive Oil. There is nothing that beats the flavor of olive oil in pizzas so I do like its flavor in garlic knots with pizza dough too. That with the butter and garlic brings out the most amazing flavor in the knots all the while making this the best garlic knots recipe.

What goes with Garlic Knots – Serving Suggestions:

You can just eat them as such, it actually tastes delicious considering it has garlic flavor and enough salt with the taste from the butter and olive oil of course. Buy some marinara sauce or pizza sauce or make your own homemade marinara and homemade pizza sauce to dip the garlic knots in. It is just delish!

Although, because of the crisp texture you can serve them with soft or creamy dishes like beans, salad, baked creamy chicken, and so on. Garlic knots with pizza dough are super perfect for picnics, at least that’s when I make it. I make it a day ahead of a picnic or travel. Also, these are perfect for party food.
