ADVICE: Double H Boots and Twisted X
Follow up from my last thread. Looking at getting a pair of either double h's or twisted x's for work. I'm tough as sh*t on boots, destroyed a pair of justin bent rails in the past year, so looking for something rugged. Which out of the two do y'all recommend, with durability being the chief concern? Regarding the DH's do yall have the American made models or the cheaper foreign manufactured ones? Trying to make a decision before tonight to catch a sale. All advice appreciated.

Should've clarified-- looking for western styles. Appreciate it though, still good to know they're made well

I have a pair of double H western style and love them. My feet do hurt after a long day, but they hurt in any boot after 8 hrs. A good insurt is always a good rule of thumb.

Awesome. Know what style/model number they are? And are they the American made ones?

I dont know style/model right off myvjrad. Bought them over 5 years ago. My main thing was the sole. I wanted a sole that wouldn't slip in wet weather.

I really don’t know, besides a couple pairs of dress boots and a couple different brands of work boots I have pretty much worn double h for 40+ years. I did buy a pair of double H non American made and threw them in the trash after a couple of months. I’m pretty rough on work boots and I get about 2 years out of a pair. After a few months I order a super thin insert from HH that’s not sold in stores, I spend 12+ hrs a day on my feet.

I'm a twisted x guy. Love the comfort but they wear out too quick.

My steel toed twisted X are not American made. I should have tried double h again. I've had three pair of them, but last time I tried new ones, I couldn't get any to fit right for some reason.

I have been a double H boot wearer for 8 years now. The absolute best work boot I’ve ever worn. I like the western look and the hard sole. Unlike the Twisted X with the rubber sole. I have custom insoles for my boots and I can wear them for days at a time with any feet pain

Double H all the way, haven’t found a boot that’ll last me longer. Not sure exactly which ones I have but I remember they were pricey $250 I think.

I bought a pair of twisted x and they did not last for three months. I now wear a pair of arias and they have been holding up very well. So far happy with them. Will not waste my money on twisted x again.
