How to Assemble Cookie Mix in a Jar
To start, add the entire contents of the cake mix to the mason jar. Press down with a spoon so you have plenty of room for the add-ins!
Make sure the lip of the jar is free of any leftover cake mix. Then, fill up the remainder of the jar with any choice of mix-ins! I usually use about a cup to a cup and a half of add-ins. It really depends on the size of the ingredients.
Be sure to chop candy bars but smaller items like chocolate chips and M&Ms can be left whole.
Then, print the gift tags on card stock and use a ribbon to tie on the gift tag with the instructions!
A few ideas for your mix in:

Fabulous idea! If you are using different cake or different candy, do you follow directions for the cake mix, or are there different measurements or bake times? Thanks so much. Can’t wait to try it.

Nope! You can use the same directions and mix and match. I have used it for several different types of cookies and it works every single time.
